Privacy policy
Draft updated 2 November 2026. Fill in the bracketed details and have a lawyer or accountant review this page before the site goes live.
Who is responsible
The provider named in the legal notice is responsible for your data on this site. Write to [contact email] about anything on this page.
What we collect and why
The free sample chapter
When you sign up we collect your email address. Your email service also records when you consented and from which IP address, so that we can show you agreed. We use this to send you the chapter, to tell you when the guide is ready, and to send occasional notes about it. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
Buying the guide
Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record. It collects your name, email address, country, payment details, and tax information, and it decides how that data is used under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details. We receive the order information we need to support you: your email address, country, and order number. The legal basis is performing the contract and our legitimate interest in helping you.
Messages you send us
If you write to us, we keep the conversation so we can answer you and handle any follow-up. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the service.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records technical details such as IP address, the page requested, and the time. This is kept briefly for security and to keep the site running. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure site.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. It has no analytics and no advertising scripts, and it loads its fonts from its own server. The signup form sends your email address to Brevo only when you press the button. If that changes, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Who receives your data
- Brevo, which stores your address and sends our emails, acting on our instructions.
- [hosting provider], which serves the website.
- Lemon Squeezy, for purchases, as described above.
- Our accountant and authorities, where accounting or tax law requires it.
We do not sell your data.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Email address: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Order records: for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
- Support messages: for as long as needed to resolve the matter, then deleted.
- Server logs: for the short period set by our hosting provider.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send you a copy. You can object to uses based on our legitimate interest, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to [contact email] and we will answer within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Hungary that is the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH, naih.hu). You may use the authority in the country where you live instead.
Children
The guide and this site are not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, write to us and we will delete the address.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we will say so at the top and, where the law requires it, tell subscribers by email.
